As declared by Microsoft, Windows 8 will be arriving into the web market in 2012. This news has been apparently revealed at the last week’s Professional Developers’ Conference (PDC). Amidst the massive fanfare, Stephen Chapman of Microsoft Kitchen took hold of a Microsoft roadmap thereby pointing next Windows operating system’s advent.

The Microsoft launched Windows 7 on October 22 and recently they have planned the Windows 8 roadmap to be unleashed into the Interwebs. The descendant to Windows 7 is cautiously codenamed as Windows 8. It is expected to be subsequent “Major Release” in 2012. On the other hand Windows 7 is again considered as “Release Updates”, probably to the wild Vista code. This denotes that there will be a three year interval until next Windows Operating system; while their competitor Apple believes in observing two year gap between Leopard and Snow Leopard. Within these two-three years, both OS-making giants will want the customers to get accustomed to the new technologies included in their OS and get ready for the new arrivals.

Before you actually start making Windows 8 features, use Windows 7 expansively and then jot down what exactly you want in the nest invention. Of course, Gamers would prefer to go for DirectX12 and right now no one really knows what would be integrated in it. Although Microsoft has yet not discussed the strategies and plans for Windows 8 officially, a 2012 release would be reliable date with previous Microsoft guarantees to release a new desktop operating system with every three years. Windows 7 came into the market a month ago.

The recent judgments and speculations are suggesting that a 2012 release has been credited to Microsoft Kitchen, which is a blog with the tagline “Serving up some seriously tasty Microsoft.” In spite of showing roadmaps it seems that they have picked up at PDC, the blog hardly has anything in definite to reveal about Windows 8. However, fortunately a Microsoft employee has unintentionally spilled the beans on one key Windows 8 characteristic last month.

Microsoft employee Robert Morgan leaked out the software giant’s strategy to make a 128-bit version of Windows 8, and even Windows 9, on LinkedIn. There he listed his job as ’senior research and development’. His profile however has now been removed from the business networking site. This declares that his R&D projects included “128-bit architecture compatibility with the Windows 8 kernel and Windows 9 project plan”. He is also attributed for “forming relationships with major partners: Intel, AMD, HP and IBM”.

Whatsoever, all the internet savvy minds are eagerly in the line to catch a glimpse of the new arrival of Windows 8 in the upcoming 2012.
